When you start getting dark stains on the shower curtain is it mold? Can you wash it or do you need to throw?

It is mildew. Wash the shower curtain with bleach. When you start getting dark stains on the shower curtain is it mold? Can you wash it or do you need to throw?
Yes, most assuradly.

Wash it in hot water with bleach. It will be organizm free, although there may be some mildew satins remaining. Another thing you can do is spray it with Clorox Clean up while it is hanging and spray the interior of your shower as well.

Either way, take it down, bleach it and the shower. When you start getting dark stains on the shower curtain is it mold? Can you wash it or do you need to throw?
I buy the heavy duty vinyl ones, cost a little bit more but they have the metal holes instead of plastic. These liners can be put in the washer with just a little soap, and then about 1 1/2 cups of bleach. Wash in hot water, don't bother with the rinse cycle. Looks good as new and lasts forever.
clean it with peroxide
I have been cleaning vinyl shower curtains for years in the washing machine with 1/2 the usual amount of laundry detergent used for a full load and 1/2 cup of bleach. They come out like brand new. Take out of the machine, rehang in the shower and your good to go.
probably, soak and then scrub with bleach. Remember to dilute it and don't mix it with amonia.
Yeah it is mold - I spray mine with 409 mold and mildew remover once a week and have never had a problem with it since.

Another thing is if you have a bathroom fan, make sure you run it because it is the moisture that is causing the mold
Definitely Bleach will do the trick and let dry out!
yes it's mildew, if it's plastic you should be able to throw it in the washing mashine and then get the rest off by hand
Yep, it's mold! Comes from not letting the shower curtain air dry out, and not opening it completely for drying.

Solution would be to scrub the whole curtain with a bleach solution, especially concentrating on the mold/meldew areas. And putting it out in the sun to dry.

Prevention would be to leave the curtain open as far as possible to dry,.
Mildew. Bleach it if you can. If it's vinyl, wash with Lime Away. They aren't expensive. I'd just buy a new one and get a ';no mildew'; vinyl liner.
throw it away and get a new one. shower liners run about 1-2 dollars. use that underneath your regular shower curtain. that way you aren't throwing away a 20 dollar shower cutain.
soak %26amp;wash .dry verywell
could be a little mildew....try soaking it in a little bleach and scrubbing it.....or just toss it and buy a new one, i mean they only cost a couple of bucks
I no longer have a shower curtin

but when i did i used bleach in a spray bottle to clean mold off of the shower curtain,

I had to take it down take it outside rinse with hose

both sides spray with bleach let sit for 10-15 minutes

rinse again

turn over do likewise on other side

if it is a hot day hang up to dry in sun as sun will kill mold which likes darkness

and spray with light watered down bleach solution or buy a product from Clorox made for this type of issue
you can wash it in the machine with vinegar
get a spray bottle with water and bleach its mold
