How to store stuff exposed to black mold to prevent growth? Wash, dry or put away with chemicals?

Depends on what it is. Washing with bleach will help to kill mildew/mold spores. Keeping the stuff dry afterwards (and out of a humid environment) will keep any spores left from being able to grow. Mildew/mold spores are everywhere in the air; but they need a moist environment to grow. How to store stuff exposed to black mold to prevent growth? Wash, dry or put away with chemicals?
I'm not sure of the question but you can only prevent this from happening by not having a moist enviorment. Mold grows in dark, moist areas that have no air circulation so if you have stuff stored in a basement leave air circulation available, use a de-humidifier and use light. Hope this helps. Just remember black mold is toxic!
